Came here for the first time on Saturday (23 April) for brunch with a friend and was having very high expectations since the reviews were great for this restaurant. We had the 3 courses brunch set for $298 per person. The first course was sourdough bread and mini croissant. Next, came the bite size platter with 2 x oysters per person, smoked salmon, salad, foie gras crème brûlée, French cheese & some cold cuts selections. We had the 3 courses brunch set for $298 per person. The first course was sourdough bread and mini croissant. Next, came the bite size platter with 2 x oysters per person, smoked salmon, salad, foie gras crème brûlée, French cheese & some cold cuts selections. All 4 oysters had bits of shells in it & the cheese were wet with dew drops all over and I believe they were pulled out from the fridge too early.
The final course were the mains where we’ve ordered the Eggs Benedict and the Seafood Penne (+$48). On the menu, seafood penne/spaghetti stated prawns, scallops, squids, lobster bisque! To our surprise, not even a single tiny little shrimp nor scallops were visible! We are lucky to find 3 diced sized squid and baby handful of tuna chunks in the lobster bisque penne. In addition, the penne was really salty! Apart from the meals, we’ve also paid additional $100 for a free flow wine for one person. After the meal, we really have no mood to pay extras for coffees even though it is only an additional $18 per cup! We left immediately back home!
The above sounded disaster?! NOT YET!!
The horrific part was I found myself in a diarrhoea mode for the rest of the day!!! It’s either the oysters or the cheese or even the mains?!!! CERTAINLY NO MORE NEXT TIME FOR SCARLETT & THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!
