The Dickens bar was my old stomping ground for many a year but this evening it showed itself to have fallen victim to change. ordered the mussels in white wine. Absolutely no taste at all Scrawny little muscles. small enough to be local but minus any flavour. Even the so called sauce was just like water with some sliced carrots and onions thrown in. Cumon Guys even I can make this nicely. Thenbritish pub standard fish and chips. Using Ling fish at least and not slimey sole. Turns up lookin

Turns up looking fine however on cutting open its 70% batter almost half cm thick and the little bit of fish inside was very dry and tasteless. Had to send back. Really inedible. But kudos to the German bar manager and support crew there who rocked up and sorted us with a steak and mushroom pie in lieu which was good. Good staff at bar being badly let down by Kitchen. My confidence quite shaken Hope they can get back on track or I will miss this establishment .
