The fish and chips is classically great, a crunchy beer batter, must ask for the malt vinegar to go with it as well. Chips are fat and hot, fantastic with the cold beer.

一間多年前去過的吧,近來發現她因Excelsior 改建而快將結業,所以再次常常到訪。吧的環境清靜,除非是週末或星期五晚,一般下午黃昏去也很舒服。飲品方面,有多種draught beer 選擇。其中最喜歡Boddingtons Pub Ale Gin Tonic 也不錯 - Hendrick’s Gin食物方面, 由於去過幾多次,都試過幾款食品。Chicken Tikka Masala 醬汁香濃,微辣,雞肉不乾,炒飯非常乾身挺身,薄餅普通。Potato skins 比較乾身,略為失望,可以不叫。Spicy calamari 醬汁比較濃厚,因為偏甜,份量頗多所以一個人吃會太膩。Nachos 非常大的份量,香脆,guacamole 都幾香,如果辣些少就好了。不過我一個人食,都幾滯下。Apple crumble 非常香脆,蘋果醬甜甜酸酸,味道很好。三月底將會結業,有興趣的朋友可以去試試!

睇到新聞話銅鑼灣怡東酒店明年3月結業 ,所以想襯結業之前去多幾次,便約朋友去座落銅鑼灣怡東酒店地庫的Dickens雙城吧吹下水、聚下舊。我們坐下不久侍應就呈上爆谷及花生🥜,都是免費的,但不是無限refill。由於酒吧提供直播球場,有好多外國人在此睇波 。我們看了一會兒menus, 就點了Schoolboys Story & Tale of 2 Cities各一杯。這兩杯mocktail (Schoolboys story 似fruit punch, 而Tale of 2 Cities 有薄荷同檸檬味較易入口)傾左一段時間計,覺得有點餓就點了Dickens Burger🍔 & 🥔 Potato Skin。Burger 是medium well ,望落多肉汁及有漢堡味,滋味無窮。而薯皮又香又脆,裡面有芝士同煙肉好夾,卜卜脆, 一試難忘,想再encore。薯條🍟夠熱,香脆,美味可口。食完野都傾到意猶未盡,就叫了兩支啤酒🍻Corona & Peroni繼續聊天。啤酒唔係好識品評,對我來說全部一樣 ,苦苦地😂此酒吧是一個唔錯既吹水及睇波地方。

同朋友係銅鑼灣上完Seminar,揾地方飲野吹水。經過Henry House,冇一間似樣,大部分食飯,吾週圍搵,就決定行去怡東酒店地庫。知道一定冇走雞。😜吾係好多人,搵咗bar枱位坐底,酒吧重播緊上星期英超,已睇,hehe。叫嘢飲。好多款啤酒,但我吾飲洒,叫咗杯雜果賓治,正常好飲。Happy Hour 開始有D肚餓,叫咗個水牛雞翼,嘩,好大碟,兩個人食,食到飽。味道有D辣,頂得住,還有甜甜地。ok ar. 可惜怡東酒店已決定重建,又少一個吹水睇波好地方。

Absolutely no taste at all Scrawny little muscles. small enough to be local but minus any flavour. Even the so called sauce was just like water with some sliced carrots and onions thrown in. Cumon Guys even I can make this nicely. Thenbritish pub standard fish and chips. Using Ling fish at least and not slimey sole. Turns up lookin

But kudos to the German bar manager and support crew there who rocked up and sorted us with a steak and mushroom pie in lieu which was good. Good staff at bar being badly let down by Kitchen. My confidence quite shaken Hope they can get back on track or I will miss this establishment .

坐底周圍的情緒當然高,首先來杯少爺啤,如果你對啤酒有研究,你應該知道這個品牌,飲得有歸屬感,曾經有自釀啤酒冠軍的質素又點會不好飲,一杯一乾二淨飲完,那才是豪氣。

首個菜式是Smoked Eel & Bacon Salad frisee, beurre blanc,以煙鰻魚為主角加上煙肉沙律,那個配合非常新鮮,鰻魚煙燻後肥美依然,和煙肉沙律清新成強烈對比,送啤酒是絕對優勢。

你知道這些以西餐以主的地方一定會有鵪鶉吧,Seared Quail legs crispy ham, honey pepper sauce是我自上次在旺角吃過後最好的,烤鵪鶉腿配上脆帕爾馬腿,沾上蜜糖胡椒汁,那味道你吃過就知好。

Guinness Beef Ribs AL creamy corn, spicy burrata cheese,黑啤燴牛肋骨的賣相可能不是最好,但味道就絕對驚人,配上忌廉粟米和辣味芝士,還有用上黑啤的麥味鎖定於牛肋骨肉的肉汁裡面,是今晚的高潮所在。

Vegetable Curry V naan bread, basmati rice 是dickens必點之選,咖哩是這裡的best of the best ,如果你是親英國派,那口甜甜受英國影響的咖哩是叫了吃到九七前的味道,印度雜菜咖喱和印度烤餅配上熱辣辣的香米,又點會唔好,咖哩和餅的配搭是應該人見人愛,反而香米就不是個個喜歡的質地,不過我喜歡,我覺得撞啤酒更加是他鄕遇故知。

聽說Seafood platter是星期三才有的味道,雖然我對這個不會太講究,海鮮始終沒有什麼技巧,但吃到那些新鮮的波士頓龍蝦,蝦,蜆肉,青口,龍蝦鉗等等,酒店吃海鮮質素又點會不好,但咁大份都只係$488,食住海鮮睇住波飲住酒,真係勁開心。

海鮮吃完後,大家意猶未盡,談笑風生,飲酒作樂下,叫多個小食拼盤,這才是盡興。

食咖喱,一份雞,一份豆,一份牛,一份羊。配 Naan Bread 是最印度的食法,也是我最喜愛的食法。用手拿薄餅,夾起肉同汁,連咖喱肉/豆及薄餅一起放入口,那一種香味同那一種澎湃感覺,令我懷念當年在 Birmingham 同 Manchester 所吃過的 Balti House。但,可惜的是,那咖喱角太香港式了。
