have walked past this place numerous times and always felt happy with the fragrance of the soup. today decided to try.

7 staff, 4 in the dining area on their phones and chatting away. no ordering at tableside. did we make a mistake? ordered the pork chop with flat rice noodles in soup, pork neck rice and shrimp cake (additional $15 for 3 pieces)

before taking a breath upon sitting down, the soup noodle arrived. we knew it would be bad. the pork chop looked blanched before pan fried. no seasoning, no taste. the soup was luke warm at best. the only thing that tasted what it suppose to taste was the onions. portion was ok but still quite difficult to consume.
the pork neck rice was similar. looks blanched. no colouring and the pork neck tasted "mashy". terrible. rice was like warm, perfect temperature to bathe a baby.
to top it off, the 3 pieces of shrimp cake. 3 pieces alright! one piece (normally there would be three at a normal thai / vietnamese restaurant) cut into three smaller pieces! outrage! no "sponginess" in the shrimp cake. what made it worse was that it was already cut before being fried again! made it quite tough!
staff were on their phones all the time.
for $120, it was a complete waste of money. if you dont mind paying that much for rubbish, by all means. I for one, definitely NOT COMING BACK!
before I forget, there was one good thing - we left
