Seeing in openrice that this Japanese restaurant is one of the fast-rising restaurant in the ranking list, I decided to dine in there tonight with much expectation. However, the quality of food was not as good as I had expected.

Here is the list of food that we ordered and my comments:
1. Scallop sush
i: Not as good as what other members have said. The scallop itself is not cold and fresh enough. I prefer eating the scallop sushi in GENKI sushi upstairs as theirs are huge and fresh. They are also cheaper.

2. Egg sushi: It's alright - it can't be too wrong anyway.

3. Mango Salmon roll
: Again, it's not really that good as what was mentioned by other members. Just by looking at the appearance of the mango, I could tell it was not ripe enough. If you really want to eat quality ones, I would suggest you go to 火間土 in TST.

4. Deep fried prawn mixed with potato: It looks interesting but the taste is not surprising. It is OK.

5. Eel rice
: The best dish in the night. I particularly like the sauce that goes with the rice. It's a bit spicy and definitely can spice up the taste. I'd recommend this.

6. Baked curry pork rice
: The worst dish in the night. I guess it's just the problem with that particular dish we had. The inner part of the potato was uncooked. Also, the rice tasted so raw, which had a completely different texture from the eel rice. Anyway, the manager kindly accepted to cancel our order (as we were in a rush to watch a film at broadway).

7. Iced tangerine drink: The drink was not cold enough, especially in such a hot weather.

About the service, I think it is ok. The only problem is that the cup of water that customers have is way too small and that the waiters are too busy to refill it.

The dinner cost us $220. Well, given the quality of food, I would say the food is not worth the price. I wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks to dine in better Japanese restaurants.
