We were in a mood to sample different kind of dishes and food. As most hotels offer a buffet diner and we were in Pacific Place mall, we decided to check the buffet at Conrad Hotel out.It was around 7PM when we arrived and it was jam packed (indoor). It was around 7PM when we arrived and it was jam packed (indoor). Initially we wanted to leave straight away, but the hostess was very friendly in helping us out and checked that one table will be leaving soon. Since the weather was warm enough to sit outdoor (next to the pool) we decided to have a drink (beer, wine and sparkling water) there and move indoor once the table would be ready.
In the meanwhile we could as well start our buffet diner. The cold stations included: crab legs, lobesters, shrimps, clams, oysters, DIY salad, ready to eat salad, Sashimi, Sushi, several Chinese cold dishes, cold cuts, Olives, etc. Very clean and neat presentation.
The hot stations offered: Pasta, Steak, Fish, several Chinese dishes, pies, Indian dishes, veggies, Tempura, etc.
To our surprise there was also a BBQ station, which is stationed outside opposite the pool bar. This was just fabulous as we both love BBQ food. The chef at the BBQ station was very friendly and BBQ-ed everything on order for everyone. You could choose from: Baby Hamburger, Steak, Lamb racks, Spare-ribs, Sausages, Tiger prawns, etc. For meat we ordered everything medium rare, and it was just amazingly juicy and tender.
Both of us do not have a sweet tooth, but we did try a couple of items as they looked too temtping and the cakes were presented in bite size. What I personally liked is that they have a miniature "Coldstone" station. I tailored one with Chocolate and Strawberry icecream with lots of Pecan and Walnuts.
Then there is a little cheese station which offered the mainstream cheeses as: Brie, Parmigiano, Danish Bleu, etc.
It was quite a satisfying experience and we will definitely visit them again.
