Today I visited this restaurant with my girlfriend to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. The price of the restaurant is far too expensive and the quality of food isn’t that good at all. The expensive is really awful in my point of view. The restaurant is fully booked for the night. The main point is the tables are too crowded with not much space within each other. The atmosphere is extremely noisy and I cannot really chat with my girlfriend at all. Oyster Platter ($345) There are 6 pieces of oyst
Oyster Platter ($345) There are 6 pieces of oyster in the dish with a selection of 3 different types of oyster. They are quite fresh but it could be more creamy and sweeter which I expected to have with such a high end price. I would score it as 6/10 in overall.
Lobster Bisque ($168) It is quite disappointing that the lobster bisque is a bit too salty and I can hardly taste on the original sweetnesses of the lobster at all. I would give it 4/10 at all.
Australian Ribye plus French Fries sidedish ($648+$88) This is the most disappointing dish for the whole night. The ribeye steak itself is in good quality and it is quite juicy at all. However the steak is quite blend as there is no salt seasoning at the surface before grilling. The medium well steak is a bit overcooked with a burning surface which gives a bitter taste to the steak. It is totally unacceptable for this price range and I would say there is a large room for improvement on the grilling technique for expensive steak.
The only credit for the night is the complementary dessert for us to celebrate our anniversary which is quite heart warming. However the price of the whole dinner is nearly $1400 which is not worthwhile at all. I would have visited outback steak house instead as the food quality is better and the price is far cheaper at all. I am quite sure that I would be disappointed as tonight’s dinner.
