the previous critic made some inaccurate statements... which i hope to straighten out... HK is the hub of membership only restaurants. .. China Club, Bank Club, Cipriani, Kee Club etc... 1) you don't have to be Shanghaiese to be eligble to join SFA and 2) the chef is still there... just saw him the other day. anyways, some of the best things to try are the simple dish like 火丁甜豆 (simple yet delicious. the peas are cooked just right, not too soggy or too raw.. great for vegans! ), 清炒蝦仁 (a classic
