笑林寺 is one of the rare places that i feel like floating on cloud 9 once treaded in. this modest cafe in the 'rural areas' of wan chai serves signature spaghettis and a selection of coffee that comes with unorthodoxy names - 九陰白骨爪 (mocha), 大力金剛指 (americano), 九陽神功 (doppio), 一陽指 (latte)..✓, to the excellent wifi; ✓, to the numerous sockets scattered around the place; ✓, to the background music (my playlist is suspended in the early 10s) as i know most the song names!!; ✓, to the spacious seatings a

salmon bagel and hot chocolate are my usual orders. 'cause, carbs are always the best fuels right? there's nothing really special about this salmon bagel with some sliced salmons, cream cheese, cucumbers and a side salad, but i'm foretelling you, i'd get a salmon bagel next time.

i have an ineffable attraction towards soy milk, and this combination of rich chocolate and soy milk blows my mind every time. the bittersweet yet rich chocolate fuses with the silky, creamy soy milk, making it the best cup of drink all year long. it's such a pity that i cannot get their coffees cuz there's such a large variety.

hopping into it soon again~ preferably weekdays as it'll be quieter and you can just dominate the wooden table in front of you for 6 hours+ xd.
