Went to IZA several times. First time, the chargrilled yakitori was pretty good. Chicken liver was still medium and bloody which I loved. Gingko was slightly over-salted. One thing I did not understand was we got only one egg yolk for 3 orders of tsukune. Were we supposed to share? 😅 So gross.The karaage was hot and juicy which was outstanding. Second and third visit, dry and tough chicken, especially their signature chicken wing. Liver and heart were overcooked too. Very disappointing. Tsukune was still okay and we requested one egg per order.
Most of their staff seem friendly and attentive. The atmosphere of IZA is also very Japanese izakaya like. The problem is if a restaurant can't maintain their quality, it refrains me from visiting again.
