When someone mentioned Dundas Street, one's will think of street snacks at the very first thought. Whenever we walked past this street in the evening, there will always be line of people queuing outside those stalls, waiting patiently for their finger-licking snacks to be savoured. Candy Shake is one of those stalls that joined in the fray. It entices customers by its shiny and visible display, attracting mostly teens & young adults. As we had a heavy tea session, thus we do not have much appetite for dinner. We decided to go for their sinful dessert to make up for our dinner. Upon entering the store, we were attracted by endless number of transparent round container, filled with candy hanging on the wall. Even at 7pm, there were already some crowd forming inside the shop, either waiting for their orders or enjoying their desserts at the bench table by the side. Even though the shop was small, but they do offer very extensive range of desserts, from their signature milk shake, ice-cream, milk tea, cake & cheese tart etc. For customers wanting to buy cheese tart, one's can purchase at their little kiosk on the left side of the shop. Even for milkshake, there were several selections for us to choose. Taro cheese tart - We ate it immediately as we were afraid the texture might not be that good once it cooled off. The edges of the tart was crunchy, texture of the hard type rather than the fluffy type. From the outlook, the cheese was melting when i took the first bite and the taro smell was very strong. Mao Shan Wang Cheese Ice Cream - For someone who frequent Singapore for their Mao Shan Wang durian, i must say they make a decent attempt on it. The ice cream was very creamy and soft, partly coming from the cheese. As i am not a big fan of cheese, i prefer it to be purely Mao Shan Wang. Lychee Shake - I enjoy this drink as it was very refreshing and chilling. It has a sweet lychee taste and i do not feel full after finishing the drink.
