Ate a late lunch, so there was minimal wait.Wonton noodle soup was quite good. Shrimp wontons were tasty but small. Broth was flavorful, with a nice dried fish flavor without being fishy. Noodles were nicely salty and al dente. Beef brisket dry noodles was quite good. Ate a late lunch, so there was minimal wait.

Wonton noodle soup was quite good. Shrimp wontons were tasty but small. Broth was flavorful, with a nice dried fish flavor without being fishy. Noodles were nicely salty and al dente. Beef brisket dry noodles was quite good. Boiled Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce was good.

What we ordered was good, but given the hype, this place is a bit over-rated.

Tables are cramped.

What is notable is the rude and arrogant behavior of the restaurant manager. This manager was clearly in command and definitely wanted you to know that you were granted the privilege of eating in what is purported to be the world's best wonton noodle soup joint. He barked orders and made loud comments in Chinese ("yes, yes I see you," "I know what you want"). They were obviously doing us a big favor by allowing us to eat in their restaurant. Not a very welcoming feeling. Certainly not a place to savor what might be a special eating experience.

I recommend this restaurant so that others can see what the hype is all about. Of course, you have to judge the wonton noodle soup for yourself. In my opinion I thought it was quite good. However, I didn't leave feeling that I had tasted the best. I really do think that the rude behavior and lack of decor took away from my experience.
