The barbecued pork was fatty and succulent with a sweet, sticky glaze, but the meat itself was a bit lacking in flavour. It wasn't bad, just not as good as some other places. Actually, we wanted to order the sizzling barbecued pork, but they had run out and we went with the standard barbecued pork instead. I don't know what the difference is, but maybe the sizzling one is better!
We really liked the beef tenderloin with scallion, mushrooms and red pepper in a rich black pepper sauce. Everything was cooked well and the sauce complemented all the ingredients. It was served on a bed of crunchy iceberg lettuce that went really well with the dish. The beef itself was tender and flavoursome.
The fried rice with crabmeat and egg was topped with crispy fried garlic and was a tasty accompaniment with the other dishes. When ordered with other dishes, the portion size was enough for three to four people.
We didn't try out the dessert as we were given a complimentary pumpkin sago at the end of meal. It was a nice gesture and was a sweet way to finish off a satisfying dinner. The service was good and the prices were reasonable, and I would like to come back again and try more dishes.
