Wanted to have an early dinner before sometimes in the horse racing games, I brought my friends from overseas to this popular, yet never tried restaurant ( those dai pai dong at the council building were closed for renovation)I have to say that I really like the tea provided by them, the crucial point of making good tea is that the water should be hot, yet not boiling. Wanted to have an early dinner before sometimes in the horse racing games, I brought my friends from overseas to this popular, yet never tried restaurant ( those dai pai dong at the council building were closed for renovation)
I have to say that I really like the tea provided by them, the crucial point of making good tea is that the water should be hot, yet not boiling. My nose found it very enjoyable to have the tea fragrance to sniff.
Dishes we ordered:
1) bean sprouts with 3 eggs style in soup: standard, but the soup base is sth which I like to give credit to, to make the whole dish more interesting
2) daily soup: my friends were too eager to have soup but I read it in the comment that this is sth which one shouldn't miss, here you go, u didn't disappoint me!!! Very home style soup with sufficient ingredients inside
3) egg white fried with milk and scallop: not enough fried glass noodle underneath the white "pudding" and also pine nuts were missing on the top!
4) roasted chicken with garlic : crispy skin, tender n juicy meat, def a must for all tables!!!!!
5) prawns steamed on sticky rice n lotus leaf: not bad, but crabs would be a better choice....my friends like it a lot...

A very reliable restaurant....want to come over to try out other dishes as well....
Hope this one does not suffer from the rental war...
