The first time I came here was 1-2 years ago. I have never been to a private kitchen and at first i found the restaurant very homely. The service as we arrived was very good but i wasnt sure what the food was like. I was very surprised that my gf had already ordered the food in advance and that I didnt have to have the usual headache for ordering for 2. First came the soup and it was delicious.

The soup had a tomato in the middle and the contents of the soup was cold. Wow (never tried that before)

Second was the salad which was really tasty! Balsamic vinegar was sooooo niceeeeee

Next came the foie gras which i am not keen on but my GF said that it was excellent. She said that the foie gras wasnt too fatty and was cooked just right. She also commented that the FG would melt in her mouth when she put it there! Full marks there!!

I remember there was a lamb dish for a main that was really good. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the red and white wine jelly was new to me but tasted really good with the lamb. Another main course that was excellent was the chicken served with mashed potatoes. Wow the chicken was really good.

There was also a seafood pasta which was ok but i am not a fan of seafood so i didnt like that too much. The cream sauce that came was the pasta was good as it wasnt too thick and too filling.

After the meal was the fruit tea which is good! Especially when Sue gave us refills. By this time we were the only people left there and it was getting late. Sue then gave us our dessert which was apple pie and that was nice. I think there was a scoop of vanilla ice cream which mixed with the apple pie was good. Although it wasnt a English style apple crumble it was still good!

All in all the whiole experience was excellent. Even though it was 11 o'clock and we were the last table Sue didnt hurry us along and ask us to pay up and leave but she actually sat down and had a chat with us for a while.

I really do recommend Bon Appetit to anyone that wants to take there GF or BF out for a nice dinner in very cosy environment where the food is great. Sue and Sidney are excellent hosts and have really made all my dinners at Bon appetit enjoyable. Thx!
