After visiting the Kowloon Park, we went to the north bound of Johnston Road for late dinner. My husband suggested Vietnam food and my kids had no objection. Thus, 3 votes won. The decoration of this restaurant is quite similar to those found in Vietnam or Malaysia - none except a large painting on the wall. The lighting, fixtures, and furniture are nothing special. Actually, it looks like a grass root local tea restaurant.
We ordered a Set B with a side order of "golden block". Since this store doesn't serve Vietnam style coffee, my husband ordered an other special drink - 7-up with marinated lemon and my kids got a can of coca cola. The total cost was HK$224.
The set B includes 蒸粉卷, 炒沙爹虾米粉, 香芧雞翼拼豬扒, 雞肉椰菜沙律. All taste very good.
I love the seasoning of the salad. The ingredients are simply, just cabbage, cucumber, chicken, and carrot. But the vinaigrette was taste really good.
My kids like the chicken & pork chop. It was excellent on color, smell, and taste. I have cooking home experience and always consider fried chicken wing is an headache because it is time consumed for excellent chicken wings.
My husband love the 蒸粉卷 and 炒沙爹虾米粉 because these items are easily to fill his empty stomach.
The golden blocks were shared by my kids. It actually is a block of minced pork and marinated egg with lots of Vietnam seasoning.
That's why my husband always say that customer dine for the food, not the decoration or atmosphere.
