I think it is kind of difficult to find a comfortable place to have lunch without breaking ones wallet in Central. I guessed Xia Fei Society (Xia Fei Hui Guan) is one of these places. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Seating was a little bit crowded but was comfortable enough for us to have a relaxing lunch. We ordered a Sweet and sour pork ribs, Drunken pigeon, Shanghai Style steam pork dumpling, Beef cake and Stirred fried Shanghai rice cake. The sweet and sour pork was super delicious. The
The sweet and sour pork was super delicious. The meat was in bit size and was very tender. The seasoning was just right, which was not too sweet nor sour. The drunken pigeon was smelt great as the alcohol used was very fragrant. The meat of pigeon was also tender. The steam pork dumpling was good, and the beef cake was even better. The cake was full of beef juice. It's taste was similar to the famous beef cake in Kowloon City excepted this one was much smaller. I am not a big fan of the Shanghai rice cake, but I think it tasted okay and not oily.
