I've taken a liking to upstairs cafes when it comes to having a quiet dinner with a girl friend or two to catch up on recent events. They're relatively cheap, providing a cozy atmosphere, it feels healthier than drinking at an overpriced bar somewhere ridiculously loud, and if the food's good, it's a big bonus. The young waiter was very attentive when I shivered and looked around as I sat at a table facing the air-conditioner on at full blast, he offered to turn it down and turn the gust away from me. Extra points for service.

We ordered a mushroom risotto and a prawn spaghetti in spicy tomato sauce. The risotto was not made of the typical Arborio type of rice, but it still tasted good and the different varieties of mushrooms were fresh and tasty. It wasn't too creamy but just gooey enough to keep it all together. The spicy tomato sauce was actually spicier than I thought it might be, which I was pleasantly surprised as I normally have to heap on the Tabasco sauce myself. The prawns were fresh and there were at least 6 if I remember right. The spaghetti was standard, but at least they didn't screw it up. There is also a decent selection of appetisers and desserts.

Wi-fi available for those who bring their laptops there to ?study ?work on projects ?go on facebook together (as a few other tables were doing).
