Tried Rokkaku for the 1st time couple of nights ago and was pleasantly surprised. At first we were a little sceptical given its location on a side street and small operation. We had the omakase. We started with four types of sashimi followed by endless helpings of sushi. Portions were generous; we were each given three to four pieces for each type of fish, which was very fresh. The sushi was just right size, none of those Hong Kong style sushi that is packed with cold hard rice. The sushi rice was soft and fragrant but held up firmly. We ended the meal with a steaming hot bowl of fish soup with a small serving of udon. We were so full that we passed on the pineapple ice cream which was supposed to be very delicious....next time we'll definitely pace ourselves so we can make it to dessert. The omakase cost HK$650+ and including a 750ml sake the bill came to HK$1800 for two. Not cheap and for the same price you could probably have more expensive fish at Sushi Hiro. Nonetheless it was a good meal and well worth a visit.
