I decided to come here again to catch up with one of my best friends. 'Good wine and conversation' sort of night. We didn't use the wine tasting machines this time because we were content with the recommended merlot that came with our food. I did not try the beef sliders or tacos but the sliders looked juicy and both smelled incredible. I had the salmon sliders, the fish was tender and they did not use too much sauce. I have a certain disdain for sauces, so the fact I ate it and appreciated the sweetness of it says a lot to me. Delicious as usual. If you are looking for something a little different to try, order the swordfish. Cooked to perfection and went perfectly with the guacamole with mango sauce. A meaty texture and subtle tangy-sweetness to each bite.
The service is always amazing there, they are friendly and just put a smile on your face.
We left the restaurant pretty satisfied, although whether it is value for money will be debated on. California Vintage is not for the frugal but it not so highly priced you walk away feeling it! Once in a while certainly works for me.
