When translate the letter “LOK” from Chinese to English, it means Happy 😊 and it was definitely a happy lunch meal for both of us and our stomach! It’s that time of the season again - sushi season. After some digging, we find this place where they serve affordable lunch omakase menu. In total, we had 10 sushi and a mini sushi bowl, costing around $400 per person. I’d say for a quality like this, it’s a great experience you should consider trying. Oyster Sushi - the piece is seasoned slightly wit
Oyster Sushi - the piece is seasoned slightly with Japanese vinegar and Yuzu. This pair very well with the oyster. The oyster is fresh and creamy.
Scallop sushi - the scallop is slightly seasoned with their signature shoyu and along with their yuzu, the freshness of the scallop is artfully presented to the taste bud.
Shrimp sushi - I haven’t had a shrimp that tastes this delicious before. The initial texture when you first bites into the shrimp is slightly screwy, and then it melt right away into that creamy butter like texture. It’s beyond comprehension.
真鯛 sushi - I’m not sure what the name of this sushi in English, but it’s very delicious. Topping that with the mysterious black salt, the chef did such an amazing job.
Tuna sushi - one of my favorite, and I believe this sushi truly separate the top sushi restaurant from the crowd. It’s slightly seasoned with shoyu, and the part they serve is the middle part, where is more lean. I don’t usually like the middle part, but this is an exception.
All sushi we had before were just the build up for this. It’s skin is slightly burnt, giving that smokiness, while the fish is seasoned with fresh wasabi and shoyu. It’s ridiculously tasty.
Black Cod sushi - topped with truffle, the flavor just turned to the stronger side. It pairs so well I really do wish I order the wine.
Uni sushi - the best uni hands down. Just by the size of it, you see how creamy and fresh it is. It’s also top with the mysterious black salt, making it taste like it was just caught from the sea.
Toro sushi - my favorite sushi of all time. The fatty part of the tuna, of course, is the king of tuna, leaving you with that satisfying lingers in your mouth.
Mini mashed tuna uni don - it’s a light tough to end the whole thing. It’s very delightful, and made me want to come back.
Lastly, they served you a miso soup and ice cream to suggest the end of the meal. I had a terrific experience here, and for lunch, it’s really a steal given the service, quality and environment is top notch.
