Came here for our anniversary and have got to say this was the perfect venue. Situated in bustling causeway bay, this gem was tucked away on the second floor away from the crowds. Inside the decor and atmosphere simply exuded chill, privacy and sincerity. We were shown to our tables and the host graciously handed us warm towels straight away, which is always a nice touch. Then as we looked through the menu, we asked him for recommendations and he went through the different cuts and origins with both patience and sincerity. We finally decided on 3 choices - Japanese A5 Wagyu Chuck Flap and Aitchbone as well as a premium set consisting of 5 cuts of wagyu from the US.

The Japanese Wagyu was served first. Based on the host's recommendation we had ordered one fatter cut (chuck flap) and one more lean (aitchbone). Both were absolutely delicious in their own way. The chuck flap was exceptionally tender and we were rewarded with aromatic juices with every mouthful. The aitchbone on the other hand, whilst not as deeply marbled as the chuck, was immensely flavorful and delicious.

Next up was the premium US Wagyu set and although we couldn't remember exactly which cut we were cooking, each one had its unique flavor and texture. While i preferred the more juicy and tender, higher marbled cuts, my boyfriend preferred the stronger aroma and taste of the leaner cuts. If this is the case for your party, then this is the set to order as it definitely has both sides of the spectrum present and cuts with both elements as well.

The host also showed us that the higher marbling cuts could be grilled slightly longer for more flavor whilst the leaner cuts were perfect even without spending much time on the grill. Oh and before i forget, everyone has  2 sets of condiments - barbecue and lemon juice - and each meat dish came with a slice of lemon. Not that the meat needed any additional flavor, but if you do want something extraordinary, try adding a few drops of lemon to your grilled beef. The kick of acidity coupled with flavor from the beef will definitely change your life!

To finish, we were offered a generous two scoops of complementary black sesame ice cream. This was a very pleasant surprise and the ice cream itself was very creamy and refreshing.
