Arrived around 20 minutes earlier than my reservation time, but they still seated me which was nice. My phone was running out of battery, and the restaurant graciously agreed to charge it at the reception for me. To my surprise, they gave me a numbering ticket which I could then use to retrieve my phone later. Restaurants rarely go that far into planning the details and I was already quite impressed. My phone was running out of battery, and the restaurant graciously agreed to charge it at the reception for me. To my surprise, they gave me a numbering ticket which I could then use to retrieve my phone later. Restaurants rarely go that far into planning the details and I was already quite impressed.


Since I did not have my phone with me, the servers probably felt bad for me just blankly staring into space, so he came over and started introducing the 'decoration' on the table. So apparently the fresh looking tomatoes and gigantic lemon was no for show. In fact, it was a 🍅🍋 self serve salad. Simply cut the tomato in wedges, add a squeeze of lemon juice, a drizzle of olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper! It was so simple yet so tasty! I later added some balsamic vinegar to it as well and dipped the homemade bread in it as well. Loved the crunch of the crust while the insides remained soft. I probably asked for refill of bread three times and every single time the bread came in the perfect temperature!


We ordered three appetisers and three main courses with two sides and ended the meal with one order of dessert.


🐌 Snails with garlic butter and parsley
Lots of garlickey butter with parsley within each snail shell. So I didn't let any of the juicy goodness go to waste. Poured it over the bread and enjoyed the bread with a different spread!


🐙 Thinly sliced octopus with lemon oil
This was my least favourite dish as the octopus basically melted in my mouth, which was not my liking. The flavour of it was good though.


🍣 Yellowtail carpaccio with guacamole and citrus dressing
Loved the pairing of guacamole and citrus dressing as it really brought out the freshness of the yellowtail.


🐖 Sagabuta pork with chimichurri
The pieces on the side were slightly too fat, but those nearer to the centre were a lot better. We asked for it to be cooked to medium, and it looked slightly pink, which was actually more appealing to me.


🐓 Marinated baby chicken
The chicken skin was grilled to perfection. Crispy skin yet tender meat underneath. Very well marinated!


🍝 Homemade gnocchi with cherry tomatoes
Loved the tartness of the cherry tomatoes which was a good match with the gnocchi. Would have preferred if it was a tad bit more chewy in texture though.


🥗 Mixed Salad
The citrus dressing was very pungent, but as I'm a fan of citrus, it tasted amazing to me.


🥦 Broccolini with chili and ginger
I really enjoyed the crunch of the broccolini! Was not able to taste much of the ginger though.


🍨 French toast with spice ice cream
Everyone was raving about this dessert so much that I was sure I would be disappointed. To my surprise, it did not. It was sort of like a creme brulee and a french toast mixed together. A true delight to end the meal.


The bathroom is located at a rather peculiar place, you actually have to exit the restaurant at the back, wait for the elevator to go to the basement, and then take a few turns before you reach the nicely decorated bathroom. It can be a bit of a wait considering there's only one elevator, so don't wait until the last minute!!
