To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 作為一個曾經多次喺香港大學內進食嘅一位食客,一念素食無疑係全個校園最好食嘅餐廳。一般而言,素食(或者話「食齋」啦)都俾人一種好寡淡無味嘅印象,但一念素食嘅「齋」卻一啲都唔 Dry,而且好美味,可以話係 HKU 學生嘅恩物。環境與價格一念素食同好多其它嘅齋舖好唔同,佢既定嘅落 Order 方式係自己夾然後按重量埋單,100克嘅食物大概 $17,但亦都有其他嘅套餐(例如係米線同下午茶套餐)供食客選擇。而因為有唔少嘅食物都比較多水份嘅關係價錢並唔算係好平,但勝在有無限嘅湯,且白飯任裝,所以無論食平啲食貴啲都可以保證你食飽飽。要注意嘅係而家由於疫情關係每次去裝飯畢湯嘅時候都要用新碗,夾嘢食嘅時候需要佩戴手套,可見呢間餐廳嘅細心之處。服務質素講到細心,一念素食嘅服務質素都有值得表揚嘅地方。你一定以為一間自助形式嘅餐廳無咩服務嘅質素可言啦,但咁就大錯特錯喇。嗰次去用餐嘅時候因為想欣賞下風景所以坐咗出面,但結果發現有好多蚊所以想坐返入去。當時餐廳嘅職員唔單止幫我哋手搬返啲嘢入餐廳,而且見我哋被蚊咬仲俾埋無比滴我哋查添!呢個位真係加爆分!食物質素講咗咁耐都未開始講食物。一念素食俾食客選擇嘅食物種類繁多

食物質素

講咗咁耐都未開始講食物。一念素食俾食客選擇嘅食物種類繁多,簡單之青菜豆腐、複雜至素肉丸同春卷都有,甚至有各種甜品比食客選擇。正如第一段所講,食物嘅味道真係好好,素肉嘅味道同真嘅肉類不相伯仲,且整體味道唔會太淡,亦都唔會太濃,恰到好處。雖然係自助嘅形式,但係食物嘅溫度亦都得到保持。係飯方面佢哋以紅米混合白米,使之更加有層次;至於湯,今次飲嘅冬瓜蘿蔔眉豆湯,味道非常之清甜,而且飲落口舒服,真係飲完一碗又一碗。雖然今餐以食齋黎講食得有啲貴,但係淨係個湯就已經值回票價!
