Trinity Dumpling is a local brand that specializes in homemade gyoza with creative fillings. Visited their restaurant because of their new menu with raclette on black truffle gyoza. Interesting combination! Double black truffle - both inside the cheese and dumpling filling. A blend of layered textures of rich melting cheese, crispy brown pan-fried gyoza bottom and juicy minced pork.
Karaage was pipping hot and juicy. The chicken had been pre-marinated to develop such a smooth and tender texture.
Oden included onsen egg, shiitake mushroom, radish, chikuwa and 2 kinds of fishball. The soup was full of umami.
Veggies, also prepared in the savory Oden soup, included shirataki, radish, cabbage and shiitake mushroom.
The mala chili sauce was superb! Numbing but not too spicy, aromatic but not too salty nor MSG. Paired well with every dish!
