The all-day breakfast at Happy Cafe is an absolute feast. The deep-fried fish fillet with tartar sauce was crispy on the outside, while the fish inside was tender and flavorful. The scrambled eggs with black truffle and mushrooms were rich and earthy. The frankfurter sausage and ham were of good quality, and the buttered corn added a nice sweetness. The pineapple bun, a classic Hong Kong treat, was soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet. This combination of items made for a hearty and well-rounded breakfast that is sure to satisfy any craving.
Egg Tart
Happy Cafe's egg tart is a must-try. The pastry was buttery and flaky, providing a nice contrast to the smooth and creamy egg custard filling. The tart had just the right amount of sweetness, and the custard was perfectly set.
Milk Tea
No visit to a Hong Kong cafe is complete without trying their milk tea, and Happy Cafe did not disappoint. The milk tea was rich, smooth, and had a wonderful balance of tea and milk flavors. It was served piping hot, which added to its comforting nature.
There were a great variety of Hong Kong style pastries in the cafe and they all looked delicious. It’s a pity that we were already and didn’t try them out. We would definitely revisit and try the pastries some other time.
