I went with my wife for a celebratory lunch earlier today. Great ambience so looked promising at the start but that was unfortunately the highlight of our visit. Staff seemed new and couldn't answer basic questions about the items on the menu. They have an unlimited antipasti plus mains option or a la carte lunch option. My wife opted for the former while I opted for the latter. My wife was not very happy with the antipasti quality- she gave me a small piece to try because she suspected the seafood was not fresh. This prompted one of the staff to come over and admonish us warning us not to share the antipasti among each other. I had to clarify what was going on. No further antipasti was consumed by either of us given the poor quality and rude staff attitude. I ordered the grilled seafood mains from the a la carte menu (costs more than the antipasti plus mains option). The portion was quite small for a 400hkd item. I was also surprised to find that the scallops were missing from the dish. Upon enquiry, I was informed that the kitchen had forgotten the scallops and it would be brought out shortly- no apology for the oversight. The seafood was quite tasteless and cold- surprising for something that was apparently freshly grilled. Total bill of 1000 hkd for two without any drinks. No thank you or see you later at the end- staff didn't seem to give a shit. Owner and head chef were too busy setting up for a promo shoot instead (irony that you ignore the paying customer already in the restaurant but instead obsess about your image on social media and promotion to get new customers). Word of mouth can be a powerful marketing tool in a city like HK. Anyway wishing them all the best but very hard to recommend given some of the other fantastic Italian restaurants in the city.
