Decided to grab dinner at Kyo Watami tonight, and it’ll probably be the last time we will ever eat here. .The food - mediocre would be an overstatement. The rice bowls came out cold, and their appearance was not the slightest bit appetising. Not to mention, the price definitely does not reflect it’s quality. The food - mediocre would be an overstatement. The rice bowls came out cold, and their appearance was not the slightest bit appetising. Not to mention, the price definitely does not reflect it’s quality. Not worth the money, it’s not cheap either.

The service - very bad. The waiter who served our table did not speak a word. Politely requested for a spoon, four times (to the same person), never got it so eventually gave up. A blank face and no eye-contact was all we got. This may be due to the restaurant being under-staffed, so it is understandable that one may feel overwhelmed with the workload and thus, affect service quality. An re-evaluation of management may help.

All in all, not a good experience. The restaurant pre-refurbishment, although not as bright, had a better menu, better food quality, and better service.
