I used to frequent this shop during lunch time because I work nearby. I used to choose the $85 menu for which I can take a Tradition sandwich, a dessert pastry and a bottled fruit juice.
Last week they increased the price of this menu to $90, OK I'm fine we are in Hong Kong and the shop is not to blame. However they told me that I cannot choose the juice, because it's not a "soft drink", I must swap it with a bottled ginger beer or an Evian. fine.
Today, I chose another menu which does not include a drink because I still prefer juice to ginger beer. the staff wasn't aware of the menu ever existing, charged me a-la-carte prices. When I told him there was a menu at $80 which includes a Tradition/Signature sandwich and a dessert/pastry, he agreed with me and corrected the charge. However I'm told that my pain aux raisins (which I always loved to pick for legacy $85 menu as a dessert/pastry), among others such as chocolate croissant, almond croissant and Danish apricot pastry etc., is not a "pastry" and I must change it with a cake. OK! Today, the staff decided that pain aux raisins, chocolate croissant, almond croissant and Danish apricot pastry are no longer a pastry, although they were until last week. Fruit juice is no longer a "soft drink", only bottled ginger beer and Evian are.
I am very disappointed by this kind of improvising everyday. I think I must stop consuming anything here because I don't know what I actually am buying here.
