Restaurant: Jashan Celebrating Indian Cuisine

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 等升降機上餐廳時,覺得升降機前的位置非常狹小,還以為餐廳的環境也不容期待。進餐廳後,既放心又驚訝。放心的是餐廳不算小,驚訝的是環境雅緻,座位舒適。雖然來吃的是自助餐,但我最欣賞的食物,並不在自助餐桌上。其中一款是侍應在我們首次離座去取食物時放到桌上,像班戟的東西。餅皮薄薄的,微脆但不會太熱氣;夾著暖暖的咖哩顏色的薯蓉,雖然沒有咖哩味,也很好吃。班戟碟上有紅白二醬,白色的有椰絲味,甜甜的。另一款我欣賞的菜式,是即點即製的Naan。三款口味中,我們試了兩款。牛油口味的很香,又煙韌。蒜蓉口味則較薄、較脆,稍嫌焦了一點。自助餐桌上食物種類少,可以一提的有:炸蝦味道還好,但炸粉太厚重。淨jasmine rice和炒飯兩者中試了後者,挺好吃。相片左上角的碗中是很普通的茶餐廳沙律,不建議試!自助餐沒有任飲,每位包一杯飲品,可惜不能選mango lassi。
