This is the go to restaurant for my family for special occasions.  We can't afford to eat Omakase every month so as an alternative for upscale Japanese, we come here.  It is a little higher priced than "ordinary" local Japanese but it is worth it--you truly get the feeling that you are in a small restaurant in Osaka.  Almost everything is imported from Japan, and they will tell you honestly which things were not imported. For example this time we had the clams in sake but the manager informed me they were not from Japan when I asked (still delicious).  The raw oysters ($78/piece) were from Japan and were sweet and fresh.  My other favourite was the stewed fish head--the sauce was delicious and there was so much meat on the fish! Everything here is good.  In fact I have never ordered a dish here that didn't taste good.  The cooked food and the sashimi and sushi are all excellent quality.  My son's favourite is the pork chop with egg and onion rice bowl--the sauce is perfect.  The skewers are also very good and I love their enoki mushrooms in butter.  I have been here for lunch and it is a really excellent value for money at lunch time.  I also would like to add that the service here is very nice, friendly and helpful. There are only a few tables inside, (which creates a nice quiet ambience--and also fast service) so make sure you book in advance!
