What happens when you smash a burrito and a maki into one? It becomes a makirroto. I don't know who made this up but that's what the staff told me when I looked at the menu.Cityplaza has a new food court called Treats with a majority of the stands owned by Maxim. As it was new and I was curious, I had dinner here. The Makirrito stand sells various Japanese style bento boxes along with something they call a Makirrito. You can order a pre-designed one or you can create your own. I was way too lazy

The Makirrito stand sells various Japanese style bento boxes along with something they call a Makirrito. You can order a pre-designed one or you can create your own. I was way too lazy so I ordered a pre-designed one.
Once I ordered, they gave me a pager that will ring when it's ready. No matter which counter you order from, they will serve your food on a metal tray that made me feel like I was being served prison food. This observation was also noted by the couple that was sitting next to me. This is the lobster tail with truffle sauce makirrito ($88). Size was not very big but it was pretty filling. They actually do wrap an entire lobster tail in rice. Aside from trying to pluck out the lobster tail shell (which proved to be a bit difficult), it was pretty tasty. The lobster meat was not overcooked. The truffle sauce was not overpowering. The rice was not overcooked. I generally just love sushi rolls, so this was pretty good in my book. I was a happy camper. For a $15, you can add a soup. They have two to choose from: lobster bisque and clam chowder. I chose the clam chowder. This was served in a medium size coffee up and filled to the brim. It was not too bad. A bit too much potato but alright over all. Pretty delicious. I'll be back and probably design my own next time.
