Have always bookmarked this restaurant with its renowned Ci Fan (sticky rice roll). I was allured by the smell despite the fact that the rice rolls were being packed inside layers of plastic bags, really wanted to taste them when they were still fresh.
I kept the ci fan rolls inside the fridge overnight and this resulted in a stony texture in the following morning, yet it was not a problem as I reheated the rolls via steaming.

To be honest, I really liked the taste of it, the perfect combo of deep-fried youtiao, pork floss and preserved veggies could never go wrong! Perhaps I should have topped up the amount of these fillings for a better tasteMy biggest regret is not eating it right upon purchase, as the youtiao ended up being softened and a bit soggy…Lesson learnt!
Wish I could pay another visit when they reopen dine-in, so that I could enjoy their fresh ci fan as well as their signature soy milk.
Would recommend their Michelin-class rice rolls for sure, but better not repeat my silly mistakes! xd
