Sudden crave for ramen, so I decided to go the Menya Musashi Kodou.  I always wanted to visit them since they are opened.  The atmosphere is a mixture of Japan and modern style.  I was seating at the bar facing the open kitchen, it’s always a great fun to see them prepare the food in front of you.

There are varieties of ramen, tsukemen, with some salad and a la carte.  I choose the Pork ramen with tomato favor soup.  As I was looking at their preparation, the tomato soup is basically some house made and favored tomato puree with their pork bone soup base.  It’s was ok, the tomato soup is quite thick, with a rich taste of tomato, but the taste of tomato is a bit too strong that I can barely taste their Pork bones soup base, which is a bit disappointing.  I should probably try their original next time.  The egg and the noodles are ok.  The taste of the pork is fine, but 1 of them was cut properly across the grain, which makes it a bit chewy.

Comment:  Overall it’s alright, just like most of the chain came from Japan, didn’t quite stand out from the lot.
