Sushi Dokoro Matsudo, located above Apple Store on Canton Road, is one of the few Japanese restaurants in HK with a long history which has already opened for 18 years. Chirashi, salad version. Fresh romaine lettuce, purple lettuce and cucumber mixed with loads of sashimi cubes and salmon roe. Topped with tenkasu that added more texture. Dressed with appetizing ponzu.

Ordered these deluxe platters to celebrate 2024! The sashimi came in super thick cuts. So satisfying! My favorites included the jammy botan shrimp, crunchy akagai, smooth shimaaji and strong-flavored akami. The shari had a balanced sweetness and sourness which matched well with the neta.

Fresh and soft conger eel. Served with matcha salt. Crispy and fluffy tempura batter. Mild and delicate.
◆鶏ももの照り焼き Chicken Thigh Teriyaki
Tender chicken. Nicely seared. Savory, sweet and tangy teriyaki sauce.
◆あずきもち Red Bean Rice Cake
Japanese staple dessert. Chewy mochi in sandy red bean soup. Stomach warming.
