Not a doubt when the oysters were served, we could tell it's really fresh. For the sauce, it's yuzu ponzu -  gives a light scent of Yuzu with just tiny bit of tartness to the dish. On top of it was a sweet pickled onion, not just to balance out the acerbic taste of the sauce and saltiness in the oyster, but to bend the sauce with the oyster perfectly.

Beef tartare - $138
Like every beef tartare, but there's a twist on it - the wasabi mayonnaise. Overall the dish was smooth, sweet and succulent, however adding the wasabi mayo was supposed to top up some sharpness, it was a bit too sharp for the whole dish. Luckily it's not mixed in it so we could put it aside. The green onion gives a mild "oniony" taste and texture to the dish that could do the work for it.

Market fish tartare - $108
It was cucumber, squid, salmon and tuna. It's light, refreshing, but a bit dull compared with other dishes we ordered. A fairly average dish I would say.

Wagyu Zabuton - $248
The charred colour on the surface gives not only the colour, but a slightly burnt flavour, almost barbecued kind of taste on it. Not sure what's the puree on top, but it's also a pickled vegetable (I would very likely say onion) with sweet and sour taste. However, the puree with the freshly chopped parsley, it's overwhelmed that you can barely taste the wagyu. Also the smoked oil didn't really stand out because of it too. It would be better with less puree.

Yaki Udon - $168
(Snow crab, crab miso butter)
This was the only hot dish we ordered on that night because the others were to appetising lol, but this one didn't upset me. Very strong scent of seafood, more crab meat than I expected, the miso paired perfected with the crab. A good dish to finish off our dinner with a warm and fully satisfied tummy!

🔸Environment
We were actually originally looking for Italian food. So right beside the Italian restaurant, the outer decoration attracted us to Fukuro. The modern, Japanese deco with minimal lighting kind of lured me into it (maybe because i like this kind of style). The restaurant was packed, but we didn't feel too close to the next customer.  It's welcoming and comfy overall. If you're looking for place for long chat or catching up with friends, this is a perfect place to hang out.

Servers were very nice and explained the compositions of the dishes we ordered. Very polite and proactive. 

🔸Overall Comment
Love the detail of the dish, and the flavour pairing technique, I would say it's not every Japanese restaurant. Overall a very pleasant dining experience, with alluring food and welcoming environment, I'm already planning my next visit!
