Having just visited Midtown's Wooloomooloo I wasn't planning on coming here again at least until Jamie Oliver's restaurant opened. 1) Bangers and mash - Its hard to mess up a simple dish like this. Mashed potatoes were nice and creamy. Gravy was a bit lacking in depth. Sausages were decent. I liked the addition of caramelized onions on top. 7/10

2) Beef Shank - This is supposed to be one of the signatures of the restaurant. Weighing in at 5kg it certainly makes for a dramatic entrance. The menu suggested that this be shared between 4-6 people but we could barely finish it with 9. The meat was decently tender but the sauce again is lacking depth of flavor, unable to penetrate the meat. I was quite disappointed as I had some hopes for this dish. 5/10
