一提起Wooloomooloo,便會不禁想起前兩年在澳洲Working Holiday 的快樂時光也不知從何時開始,開始慢慢迷上這個餐飲品牌!男友知我喜歡,又知道他未來數星期會很忙,沒有時間陪我,所以特地帶我來到他們一個較young ,價錢較貼地的品牌 The Chop House 好好吃一餐,好讓我的快樂因子能存活多幾天!哈哈!我們來到時已9時多了,食客不算太多,所以就算只有2人,也可以安排坐4人座的梳發卡位,不錯!來到扒房叫牛扒是常識吧!由於我們太肚餓了,所以二話不說,便先點了一個USDA Prime Rib Eye 12oz ($378)! 我們是要求五成熟的,牛扒烤得剛剛好,不會過老。看,中間是我最喜愛的粉紅色!而且超多肉汁,不但牛味甚濃,而且完全無根,每一口也是一種享受。及後我們點了一個BBC Burger($170),亦即牛肉, 煙肉 和芝士漢堡! 麵包曾微微烤過,所以特別香口;牛肉漢堡非常厚身,足料又Juicy,上面還放上一塊半溶的芝士;咬下去,非常夾!配料雖然簡單,但配合起來,又是一種高層次的滋味。 另外,其實大廚也很花心思於醬汁調配上的。漢堡上菜後,會另外再送上三種醬

來到扒房叫牛扒是常識吧!由於我們太肚餓了,所以二話不說,便先點了一個USDA Prime Rib Eye 12oz ($378)! 我們是要求五成熟的,牛扒烤得剛剛好,不會過老。看,中間是我最喜愛的粉紅色!而且超多肉汁,不但牛味甚濃,而且完全無根,每一口也是一種享受。

及後我們點了一個BBC Burger($170),亦即牛肉, 煙肉 和芝士漢堡! 麵包曾微微烤過,所以特別香口;牛肉漢堡非常厚身,足料又Juicy,上面還放上一塊半溶的芝士;咬下去,非常夾!配料雖然簡單,但配合起來,又是一種高層次的滋味。

另外,其實大廚也很花心思於醬汁調配上的。漢堡上菜後,會另外再送上三種醬料,包括紅菜頭醬、焦糖洋蔥醬和芥末醉辣醬。坦白說,這三種醬也不是我杯茶,試了一口便放下了...或許...較適合外國人口味吧!


要為晚餐畫上一個完美句號,又怎少得甜品呢?

我們思索了很久,終於選擇了他們招牌-Baileys Cheesecake($65)!雖然是招牌,但味道有點普通!我略嫌Cheesecake 不夠滑身,且Baileys 味不夠濃!其實我還很想試其他,或許下一次試試他們的Apple Pie 吧!

星期五晚想係銅鑼灣食飯,間間都迫到傻。朋友今次就帶左我去The Chop House,貪佢環境舒服,又唔洗太迫。周五晚上,唔算太多人,唔會太嘈。Spaghetti carbonara 煙肉芝士意大利麵($138)醬汁嘅忌廉味夠哂濃,加上一半煎煙肉一半烤過嘅脆煙肉,口感嘅變化好特別。意大利麵煮得恰到好處,不會太過軟身,入口Keep到咬口,不錯Bangers & Mash豬肉腸配香滑薯蓉($105) 豬肉腸加上少許蜜糖,味道咸得黎帶點甜味,非常可口。豬肉腸一向都比較多脂肪,所以每一口都充滿肉汁,非常好吃。 薯蓉用上了大量牛油及牛奶去煮,所以非常軟滑。加上紅酒汁做基礎嘅肉汁淋係薯蓉上面,配上炒得軟林林嘅洋蔥,相當唔錯Berkshire pork chop美國黑毛豬扒($298)煮得好軟熟同埋有肉汁的黑毛豬扒,加上海鮮醬,黑豆,辣椒醬,炸薯條,蘋果蘿蔔沙拉。 味道相當豐富,比想像中有驚喜。

星期五夜晚8點walk-in竟然有位, 簡直係遲放工人既恩物~!首先上枱既係炸魷魚圈, 略嫌個粉厚左少少, 搶左魷魚既味再黎就係好!出!色!既Carbonara!佢個sauce好creamy, 而且唔會好淡, 配埋炸到卜卜脆既煙肉粒, 簡直係我食過最好味既Carbonara!Caesar salad 只要菜夠新鮮, 基本上都無咩大問題.唯獨要讚下佢塊雞扒整得唔錯, 唔會鞋烚烚西冷扒叫左6成, 我好鍾意牛扒有種燒過既香味, 多過就咁煎熟佢.個汁偏淡, 但齋食塊扒已經好夠味~最後哎多左個小食~炸蕃薯條上枱時間熱辣辣反而無咩蕃薯味,, 等佢凍左少少會好食D~

總結係 TST個間好味好多,但位就少D要早D BOOK 位,價錢每人平均都係$200左右,以依個質素同價錢,一定好味過ruby Tuesday啦!

個burger好大個,一個人食既話真係未必食得晒。塊牛肉好厚多汁,仲有d薯條真係岩岩炸起,熱辣辣!

雖然價錢唔算平,但又未至於貴到離譜,每一碟個份量都好足夠,而且仲係新鮮煮出黎,誠意十足,十分推薦三五知己去試!

是半酒吧半餐廳的格局

這一次,我發現了位於,於是,我們就一於上來,如其名,食扒為何是刀中不二,因為招牌的一大把豬肉刀實在太有氣勢了,拿著大刀而有氣勢的,除聶風之外,最有氣勢的,就是中華英雄內的《刀中不二》,而我們第一次來到,我們的確是《刀中不二》,刀中不二的齊齊用大刀切牛扒。
若是只為了飲,坐上,很是過癮。我兩次來,都是為午市套餐而來,而午餐由$98至$158不等,由 pasta 至 大塊牛扒,四個選擇,豐儉由人。三個 course,有沙律/湯,主菜同飲品,加多$20,更有一份甜品
首先說沙律,第一次來時,是一個芝士的沙律,味道清新,芝士亦加強了蔬菜的味道,清新開胃。我第二次來的沙津,感覺就求其了少少,一大舊生菜就成事了,感覺上是有點兒那個的,不過,生菜的清脆聲音,份量剛剛好的沙律醬,配合起來又幾好食。第一次來的那天,serve 的是南瓜湯,濃濃的,甜甜的,奶酒味也十分之香,而且,感覺上是直接用這小湯煲仔直接翻熱,感覺份外的香甜可口。第一次來,4個人全部叫扒,是$158的牛扒。在這些正宗的扒房,我一定會要 rare,牛扒的肉味香,肉質感覺結實,但一刀切落去時,你就會感覺到肉的腍感覺,而且鮮紅帶血水的肉汁,充滿了牛味同輕輕的鹽味,感覺很美。牛扒配上有機甘荀同薯蓉,薯蓉是另外用火鎗高溫烤過,味道份外地香,而且入口脆脆地,很惹味。
室內有部份係卡位SOFA, 非常寬敞. 先嚟魷魚圈, 炸漿薄, 一D都唔油膩, 話咁快就放晒響個肚裡面啦! 接住係mussels mariniere, 青口好嫩滑, 白酒, 蒜香同香草配合得恰到好處. 至於個 mixed grill platter 有tenderloin, 羊架, 羊肉香腸, tenderloin略為熟咗一D, 我比較喜歡5成熟, 羊架就煮得剛好, 帶一點香香羊騷味, 至於羊肉香腸就不過不失, 羊味唔夠突出, 而配肉嘅3種醬汁其中一種係粒粒紅菜頭, 帶點點酸甜, 幾好味.,
謂 Triple Lychee Mojito 擁有鮮果荔枝、荔枝汁和荔枝 Liqueur 酒的三重奏,混合 Bacardi White Rum、薑啤和薄荷葉。味道清爽怡人,酒又不會過濃,「寬粉王」似乎很滿意!
主菜點了個MIXED GRILL PLATTER $465 (australian beef tenderloin, pork sausage, lamb sausage, lamb cutlet, grilled tomato and red wine sauce), 比較好吃的有牛扒, 雖然只是用上tenderloin, 但肉質鮮嫩, 充滿肉味, 叫了medium也不會太硬。羊架也是肉質鮮嫩, 入味非常, 燒得不錯。而香腸也是用上不錯的貨色, 外脆內軟, 燒得剛好。但我比較喜歡的是三種配料, 特別是那甜甜的洋蔥, 配上燒肉竟然
叫了Mixed Grill Platter ($465),這樣就可以每樣都試一點。Plater 中有牛柳一塊,羊架兩件,雞肉腸及羊肉腸各兩條。聽朋友說,這裡只要有"牛"的東西都做得不錯,試過後也十分同意。但令我們驚喜的是羊架,碳燒味比起牛柳還來得突出呀!整頓飯最喜歡的是醬料,特別是芥辣(其實我也是近兩年才愛吃芥辣),不會太嗆鼻。另外那個洋蔥醬甜甜的也很好吃!另外點了一個Side,是Cream Baby Sp

Just tried Chophouse for lunch with a friend. I ordered the Patty melt, medium well done.   Took a /long/ time to arrive. Looked ok upon arrival, but after two or three bites I found it to be very pink inside (rare? Or just undercooked?).  I complained to the staff about it not being medium well. They brought me another one about 10 minutes later. The second one was even more rare! I stopped after one bite, it was literally bleeding red juice/blood out all over the bun as I showed it to the staf

Just tried Chophouse for lunch with a friend. I ordered the Patty melt, medium well done.

The second one was even more rare! I stopped after one bite, it was literally bleeding red juice/blood out all over the bun as I showed it to the staff.  (Sorry I didn't get a pic to show how rare it was).  I think the chef must have thought I was complaining the first one was overcooked instead of undercooked. Clearly a breakdown in communication. Nothing medium, much less medium well about this one...

They apologized again and offered to cook me ANOTHER patty melt, but as we had been there for over 40 minutes at this point I didn't want to give them a third try to disappoint me.  They offered to give me a pasta instead but I wasn't keen on ordering something new from the menu after my companion had already completely finished her meal. 

And, they took the fries away with the party melt... Meaning I basically had nothing to eat the whole 1+ hour time we were there.  

They did remove the patty melt from the bill and apologized again, but still charged my friend for her meal  and charged me HK$40 for my ice tea.  

If they would have comped me for my tea at least to make up for serving me raw burgers TWICE I may have forgiven them and not left a negative review. But that didn't happen of course. 

To the manager of Chophouse - think about how much business each negative review like this is costing you. I guarantee it is more than HK$40 worth of ice tea (which only cost you hk$4 tops).

「寛粉王」剛剛從中國的「火爐」回來,每天吃著辣得要噴火的麻辣,回到香港清熱是首要任務,不清熱也不願火上加油吧!可是有酒總不能無餚,於是選了火氣度較低、但既能達到惹味、又同時可佐酒的 Quesadillias。Quesadillias 可有雞或牛的餡料任君選擇。

餐牌稱是全城至好的 Quesadillias,但一看牛肉、蕃茄和 chedder Cheese 大量流出的實相,雖未至於影響觀感,但對賣相應可多著重一點吧!入口 Tortila 細薄香脆,餡料夾雜 牛肉的酥香、蕃茄的酸甜及chedder Cheese 的芝香和滑溜,富有重重墨西哥的風格。更配備 Sour Cream、牛油果醬和 Salsa 醬三款醬汁,「寛粉王」跟我則特別喜歡帶有微辣的牛油果醬!

千言萬語如雨落下,我倆竟冷落了兩片孤零零的 Quesadillias,也許講話太多,肚子完全沒有餓意,唯有要來不加任何雞肉或魚肉的 Caesar Salad。

一瓷兜的份量真不少,幸好我們沒添加任何肉類!羅馬生菜新鮮爽脆,配合雞蛋、麵包和芝士,沒有意外驚喜,是合乎水平的一道沙律。

來到「The Chop」,我倆只嚐了輕食,有著如入寶山空手回的感覺,不知為什麼當晚就連來一客漢堡的意欲也失卻,大抵是友情飲水飽的威力乎?!
Other Info. : 接近晚上8時,一女侍應突然向我倆要求歸還座位,說有客人訂座了,可安排我們到戶外露天的座位。首先致電訂座時或入座後均沒人向我們提出要於某時間交還座位,第二,餐廳內仍有不少座位是空著的,因此我們據理拒絕,該女侍應其後再沒給我們進一步解釋,直至離開的時候,餐廳依然是沒變的冷清,所以大家訂座時或遇有相似的情況要特別注意!

我兩次來,都是為午市套餐而來,而午餐由$98至$158不等,由 pasta 至 大塊牛扒,四個選擇,豐儉由人。三個 course,有沙律/湯,主菜同飲品,加多$20,更有一份甜品

首先說沙律,第一次來時,是一個芝士的沙律,味道清新,芝士亦加強了蔬菜的味道,清新開胃。

我第二次來的沙津,感覺就求其了少少,一大舊生菜就成事了,感覺上是有點兒那個的,不過,生菜的清脆聲音,份量剛剛好的沙律醬,配合起來又幾好食。

第一次來的那天,serve 的是南瓜湯,濃濃的,甜甜的,奶酒味也十分之香,而且,感覺上是直接用這小湯煲仔直接翻熱,感覺份外的香甜可口。

第一次來,4個人全部叫扒,是$158的牛扒。在這些正宗的扒房,我一定會要 rare,牛扒的肉味香,肉質感覺結實,但一刀切落去時,你就會感覺到肉的腍感覺,而且鮮紅帶血水的肉汁,充滿了牛味同輕輕的鹽味,感覺很美。

牛扒配上有機甘荀同薯蓉,薯蓉是另外用火鎗高溫烤過,味道份外地香,而且入口脆脆地,很惹味。

第二次來,因為我食過牛扒而改食魚,龍脷柳加上 tartar 汁同蟹子,味道十分之美。魚肉滑,咬爆蟹子後,鮮甜的蛋汁在口中爆發,令整份魚的味道升華。而在魚的底部,是清甜的原味蔬菜,好多人覺得食魚比較健康,而這一個魚連配菜,的確令人感覺到健康氣息。

食西餐,我喜歡咖啡,這裡的咖啡夠香濃,而且因為很濃,入口有少少苦,但那苦,是一個苦盡甘來的苦,再者,咖啡很熱,我後來加奶再飲,不是因為咖啡不好,而是咖啡太熱,加奶,好讓飲品降溫。

另一次飲奶茶,用 Lipton 茶包雖是大路,但令我有點點的失望,幸好,茶味是夠的,而且配上鮮奶,也令人感覺特別老外。

很好的扒房,若是在晚上來,刀中不二的一定是牛扒,中午,牛扒絕對是首選,有質素有味道,百幾蚊食牛扒,是超過我們所期待的。
