La Port Parfume are from the same people that brought you Bistro Du Vin (post). Nicely situated in Soho/Central and right by another favourite of mine Celebrity Cuisine (post) is french bistro La Port Parfume, who specializes in catching the freshest seafood. Smoked Eggplant, Mesclun Salad, Tomato, Confit and Lettuce $100. This smoked eggplant was pretty darn good! The flavour and texture was great.
Baby Squid & Chorizo Omelette $180. This omelette was just alright for my liking- it was recommended to us. But I felt like the squid was a bit overpowering and the soft egg scramble was under seasoned.
I ordered the Braised Beef Cheeks in Guinness Stout $260. I LOVED the braised beef cheeks. It was soft, tender, moist and perfectly juicy. I loved the strong stew sauce, but I have to admit- it was definitely really strong. I just wished it wasn't as saucy though. It does come with a side of potatoes- but overall I was already pretty full from the braised beef, that I couldn't even fully finish it.
Y ordered the US Berkshire Pork, Potato Confit & Caramelized Apple $380. I had a bite of the pork chop- and I have to admit it was really dry. Not what I was expecting, and the apple sauce was definitely on the sweeter side.
Sis got the Grilled USDA Prime Ribeye, Shoestring Fries $280. I really enjoyed this though! My sis' prime ribeye was divine and the french fries were nice, crunchy and crispy! Very nice!
