We went there last evening for dinner. It was earlyish and they weren't as busy but by the time we were done, the place was filling up.Predominantly vegan, the place can be described as ovo lacto vegetarian. Jasmine tea, preserved vegetable dumplings with broth, fried noodles with vegetables, fried rice with chinese mahogany and an eggplant claypot was on the table. With a side of pickled cucumbers and mushrooms. The claypot eggplant was the star, flavorful and very tender. Spicier would've made
Predominantly vegan, the place can be described as ovo lacto vegetarian.
Spicier would've made the dish star-rier.
It didn't occur to me that the fried noodles would be actually fried and not stir fried. Abundant mushrooms in that one.
The fried rice was nicely done, crisp vegetables and all. The white pepper brings out the flavors.
The dumplings were good, thin wrappers and mostly mushrooms in there. The broth was simple but tasted good, and I think it was the white pepper that did it again.
They have non-Taiwanese / international dishes on the menu as well, so that maybe for another time.
