You know a restaurant is good when it can open multiple branches. I have had FRITES before in various places, so I was keen to try out their newest restaurant. On a weekday lunch, the restaurant was already full. Thankfully I booked ahead. FRITES had a new lunch set for Christmas time.  The mussel chowder was creamy and delicious. The main course of FRITES house mussels were amazing. Although they weren't large, the were sweet and juicy and not chewy like some mussels. I wish I was given more sourdough to scoop up the delicious sauce. The fries were a bit too salty. The dessert of Christmas brioche pudding was small but a wonderful delight, filled with candied orange and smothered with custard.
