Arrived at around 1:30pm on a weekday and there was a 10min wait for a table (seriously, when is there not a wait for this place?!) so we got one of their signature Sourdough Egg Tart $12 to munch on. Once seated, we both got the 2 Courses Set Lunch $108.Chef's Daily SoupOn that day, it was a potato soup topped with croutons. Loved the crunch of the croutons but the soup could've used some more seasoning. Nothing too special, but was great as part of the set. Baby Kale & Avocado SaladWasn't fee

Wasn't feeling too hungry (probably because of the egg tart) so I opted for the salad. The salad greens were dressed in a pesto dressing and topped with 2 slices of sourdough, half an avocado, dried figs, pumpkin seeds and parmesan cheese. Whilst the bread and avocado offered something more substantial to the salad, I couldn't help but feel like the salad was incomplete. Maybe some roasted veggies or grains would have helped make the salad more interesting. It wasn't a bad salad overall though.

Overall, I would recommend their pastries/bread over their food. I saw some tables order one lunch set and filled the rest of the table with pastries from the bakery, which I would personally recommend people do when they come to Bakehouse! I've tried a lot of their bakery items and LOVED every single one.
Also another note, the drinks here need to step up their game. You can get better coffee/matcha elsewhere in Wan Chai.
