Melting ice cream in freezer

We’ve always enjoyed going to Pizza Express as a family since kids love the food. They provide a kids menu with coloring and sticker activities. However, there was a problem with the ice cream at this particular pizza express that was extremely concerning and is a potential food poisoning hazard. We were served ice cream that was melted and re-frozen. When addressing this with the staff, they seem perfectly aware and mentioned their freezer is too small and is constantly being opened and closed

However, there was a problem with the ice cream at this particular pizza express that was extremely concerning and is a potential food poisoning hazard. We were served ice cream that was melted and re-frozen. When addressing this with the staff, they seem perfectly aware and mentioned their freezer is too small and is constantly being opened and closed which caused all the melting. I am appalled that the staff and manager have the audacity to serve melted ice cream to young kids and it makes me wonder what other food safety guidelines that they choose to ignore.
As a big franchise, this is unacceptable.
