In the morning of winter solstice, around 11:45am, we registered their sms-notification system for a table for two with a very polite staff at the reception of the dine-in area. After about 45mins, I got the sms saying we should head back for our table in 10mins. So here we are for the first time n so we ordered whatever on our wish list. The daily soup today is potato onion soup. Very fresh and natural but with no artificial flavour, even could barely taste additional pinch of salt. But the bread crust was a bit to hard to me.
Tomato bruschetta was very refreshing
The roasted mushroom toast. The aroma of mushroom was really good. Just I don’t prefer the hardness of the sourdough and I think the poached egg was a bit too hard too.
The Chicken in the chicken sandwich was crispy and the sauce was appetising. Just the chicken could have been more meaty.
The guava juice just was sweet n yum. The lemonade is a bit sour but it turned out to be very refreshing to cleanse the heaviness.
We left the egg tarts for the last to try though we thought we might have to pack them up to takeaway as we were quite full after finishing all the other orders. But when we have tried the first bite, we wanted more ! Extremely smooth and the tart pastry itself tasted naturally sweet, making people want to have more than one!!
