We have made reservation for 8:30pm because we were told the table will only be ready by then. We arrived at 8:20pm and were told the table will be ready in 10 min. Eventually we have to wait until 9:00pm upon our repeated requests. The table was not ready yet and we were asked to stand by the table so the waiter could clean the table. We were TOLD to stand aside and not to obstruct the waiters. We were ones told to help clean the table to put the dirty dishes into a plastic basin. Really good service
!

We wanted to order a 'Peking duck' immediately so we can use the waiting time to decide what to order. Our request was ignored because the waiter wanted to do the order ones to save work. We were given three small dishes to start with -  pickled vegetable, salted peanut and chili sauce. These are the usual small dishes that the restaurant would like to offer and charge extra. The peanuts taste the same as those from large package and nothing special about it. They are those roasted peanut and that is ok. The pickled vegetables are actually those Korean style fermented vegetables and are salty. Chinese style should be sour. We ordered a mixed dish and it contains slices of ham, beef, pork, celery and vermicelli. It looks horrible and the taste was not recommended. The ham was rather tasteless, like it had been used for making soup before it was used for the mixed dish. The beef and the pork tasted the same. They tasted like those ordinary meat that had been boiled in Chinese 'marinade with herbs (lao shui)' flavour. It will not be able to tell whether you were eating beef or pork. The vermicilli was tasteless. I would expect some sauces for the vermicelli to add the flavour to it. Maybe it should be consumed together with those 'meat' for the flavour. We have also ordered a dish of Chinese cabbage with preserved ham. I would expect the taste to have preserved ham's flavour but I was wrong. It just tasted salty and the Chinese cabbages were soggy. It also looks oily and watery.  The duck was ok like what you expect from every roast duck restaurant. The wrappings were great and I think they probably made these by themselves. It goes well with the duck and the 'hoi sin' sauce. If there were enough cucumber and Chinese leek then the combination would be perfect. We have also ordered a dish of 'Peking roasted lamb'. It was so dried that the juice and flavour were all gone. A complete failure
. It was more like lamb jerky without the flavour. A dish of sweet and sour fish looks ok but it was soggy. It looks like the deep fried fish had been done for quite a while before the sauce was poured over it so the batter was softened rather than crispy. The fish fillet must be frozen type and has no fishy flavour at all. We have also ordered a dish of 15 boiled dumplings. They were probably freshly made type and it was more than acceptable. As other reviewers commented that free dessert (puff ball dipped with sugar crystal) was provided but it was probably made quite sometime ago and not hot. If there were more egg in making of the dough then the taste would be more refreshing.
