Restaurant: Jashan Celebrating Indian Cuisine
Info:

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Jashan is an indian restaurant at central. We had a try on their lunch buffet with both north and south indian cuisine. The buffet comes with a drink and limitless naan/ roti. The chef and the waitresses are so nice. They introduce the food to us. We first start with the dosa, a thin pancake with potato inside, and the pani puri, a filled crisp balls with the mint sauce. For the buffet bar, my personal favourite are the butter chicken and the spinach~ For the drink, we have mango lassi and rose

Butter chicken
Tender and juicy chicken with the spiced yogurt marinade; best fit with the saffron rice or naan

Lasooni palak paneer
It’s spinach with paneer, an indian cottage cheese. It is as fresh as a breath of air. It’s my first time to try the dish and I love it very much
