Seldom do I find snake shop that looks new and is brightly lit (you know they are usually old-fashioned and full of history), here in SPK you could enjoy proper snake soup in this new neighbourly eatery. There’re also clay pot rice, and a lot of soups and stews options. I had a one-person set: snake soup with snake meat+ snake turtle soup with bone-in pork+ steamed sticky rice with Chinese preserved sausages + broiled vegetables. It’s hearty and very satiating. Sticky rice could be steamed softer but it was nice with spring onions, preserved meat and preserved sausages. Tasted nostalgic. I liked that there were veggies in the set so my diet was balanced.
p.s. They also prepared a cup of 八寶茶 tea for every customer, it’s just a tiny bit sweet and good with the meal.
