After shopping in Lee Garden for Christmas presents, my friend and I decided to have a break at Ninetys Roastery at 1/F, Lee Garden Two. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived at 3 pm.

We decided to order drinks and two items from its casual dining menu to share.

Hamachi and scallop cold udon was newly added to the menu. So we decided to give it a try. It was refreshing, healthy and satisfying. On top of the Japanese udon, there was diced hamachi, diced Japanese scallop, salmon roe, squid ink tuile as garnish, dill, honey vinaigrette and passion fruit. There was a separate bowl of superior fish stock for you to add to the udon. It was a wise and good choice for the health-conscious.

Chicken waffle was delicious and tempting. Sous vide chicken thigh was well seasoned, juicy and a little bit spicy. Cress salad and sriracha honey gave the dish a twist. Oatmeal waffle was light and healthier.

My friend enjoyed her mocha coffee fruity blend very much. I savoured my caffeine-free honey bush tea with a honey like aroma and taste.

It was a good place to chill out after shopping.
