To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. Had a really happy dinner with my college-mates in Sheung Wan, celebrating one of them’s birthday. We ordered a Salt-baked Chicken (Half), the chicken meat was quite tender and juicy, even the chicken breast part, but the flavour seemed a bit too mild.On the other hand, the Roasted Goose (Half) we ordered was more seasoned and well-roasted. The signature Crispy Sweet and Sour Pork here was of course everyone’s favourite. The caramelised coating went so well with the rice! The best part of it all, was the free corkage! We drank a few bottles and had a great time.
