Portobello was one of the rare restaurants / cafes that still had a table on a Friday at Soho during lunch time. However, despite the availability of free tables, the food was still good. However, despite the availability of free tables, the food was still good. I had the ham and cheese pannini and it was good. My friend had the spaghetti which was also good.

The atmosphere was nice. Very leisurely cafe style.

The one down side was the rather slow service. We waited for around 15 to 20 minutes for the food. It looked like the food was prepared at Stanton's (opposite Portobello) and I saw the waitress crossing the street to pick up the dishes.
